First of all, what to expect during your first session. Sometimes people who have never done this before can be a little curious about what to expect. I also want to let you know a little bit about our approach, and what kind of therapist we are. Also, I want to give you some practical information about how to help pay for therapy.
First of all, everyone runs into challenges in their life from time to time, and it’s completely natural. And I want to say this because sometimes I think it’s difficult for a lot of us to reach out for help, and it’s sometimes one of the most profound things you can do, reaching out to a licensed professional and seeking assistance in your life. We have a lot of experience. We draw from hundreds, if not, thousands of people we’ve worked with, and we bring all that experience to help you move forward in your life in a very unique way.
When you come into your first session, you’re probably going to share about your life issue, and we’re going to ask a lot of questions. We’re very interactive therapists. And much like a conversation, we’re going to talk about your life and get to the heart of the matter with you. I think clients find that very helpful. Sometimes clients come out of sessions with epiphanies about their life and a greater understanding about themselves, of their issue. But most importantly, we’re going to get to the heart of the matter so that we can help you create a roadmap to move forward in your life.
We are solution-focused therapists, so ultimately, we’re going to assist you with the right skills and tools that are necessary for you to have a happy life. We’re going to work on those during our session, and we’re also going to support you taking those out into your life where it matters most, and of course, in your own pace, in your own time.
Now, first step could be just picking up the phone and reaching out. You can talk to the therapist that you would be seeing and get to know them on the phone. It’s a great way to understand whether or not this is the right person for you. You can tell them a little bit about why you want to come in, you can ask them questions about when they’re available, both day and night. And if you get a good feeling about the therapist on the phone, then you can make an appointment with them.
We also have a lot of videos and articles on our website, and it’s a great way to get to know who we are, the kinds of advice that we give.
Also, a way to help pay for therapy, if you have health insurance and you have what’s called out-of-network coverage, you can call your insurance company and verify if you have network coverage, we can provide you with an invoice that may allow you to seek some reimbursement. Sometimes people have flex spending or health savings accounts, things like that through work, and sometimes people use those monies to help pay for therapy.
And again, we would love to help, so please reach out and let us know what we can do. Thank you.[/toggle][/accordian][/one_half][/fullwidth][fullwidth backgroundcolor=”no” backgroundimage=”” backgroundrepeat=”no-repeat” backgroundposition=”left top” backgroundattachment=”scroll” bordersize=”0px” bordercolor=”” borderstyle=”solid” paddingtop=”45px” paddingbottom=”45px” paddingleft=”0px” paddingright=”0px” menu_anchor=”” class=”” id=””][one_half last=”no” class=”” id=””][title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Counseling Specialties[/title][checklist icon=”fa-check” iconcolor=”” circle=”” circlecolor=”” size=”small” class=”Speciallist” id=””][li_item icon=””]Interpersonal Issues[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Marriage Counseling & Couples Therapy[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Relationship and Intimacy Issues[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Premarital Counseling[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Sexual and Emotional Disconnect[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Infidelity[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Parenting[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Fighting and Defensiveness[/li_item][li_item icon=””]LGBTQ Adults[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Life & Career Transition[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Life & Career Transition[/li_item][/checklist][/one_half][one_half last=”yes” class=”” id=””][title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]St. Louis Therapist Locations[/title][map address=”St Louis, MO 63103″ type=”roadmap” map_style=”default” overlay_color=”” infobox=”default” infobox_background_color=”” infobox_text_color=”” infobox_content=”” icon=”” width=”100%” height=”300px” zoom=”10″ scrollwheel=”yes” scale=”yes” zoom_pancontrol=”yes” popup=”yes” class=”” id=””][/map]
