Our Phoenix therapists are solution-focused, offering individual therapy , couple therapy & marriage counseling.

At our Phoenix therapy office, licensed therapists help people find healthy ways to target and resolve life issues. Whether through individual counseling, marriage counseling or couples therapy, our Phoenix therapists can help you figure out how to move forward and make better choices in your life.

Many individuals struggle with depression, anxiety, painful relationships or just find themselves in uncomfortable situations that keep happening over and over. We help individuals understand their choices and uncover strategies that will effectively change their life for the better. Individual therapy can often be someone’s first experience feeling safe enough to really uncover the root issues and develop the skills to make healthy changes.

Couples often find couples counseling to be the last house on the block. After failed attempts to get your needs met in a relationship, going to therapy can be an effective way to find connection and happiness in your relationship. An experienced therapist can help couples develop a better understanding for each other. When clients finally understand each other they will often begin to treat each other respectfully and more lovingly. We offer the communication tools and skills that help couples create relationship strategies that work.

We offer a solution focused approach, and all of our therapists are committed to furthering their expertise through ongoing education.

My name is Sevin Phillips. I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist and I’m the founder of the Relationship Counseling Center in the Phoenix area. We have an office located in Scottsdale. We specialize in relationship issues.

I created this center because most of us find that relationships are the most vital thing in our lives. It brings us so much joy and so much excitement when we’re getting along with and communicating well with the people we love. When things break down, it can be one of the most difficult times in our lives. A lot of us did not get the skills to know what to do when things get difficult in relationships. Or the skills that we have just aren’t working with the person we’re with.

We can provide a really safe environment. We can slow things down and help you, in a non-judgmental and non-blaming space, figure out what’s really going on between you two. It’s really great. With that deeper understanding, you have different choices. You have more empathy. With the skills we provide, you can have a different experience at home.

Not only are we licensed and skilled, but everyone I have hired has enough life experience to back it up, enough wisdom that we’re bringing in from our personal experience to know what we’re talking about. That’s helpful for you to know.

Our therapists are very interactive. We give a lot of direct feedback. I find that couples find that very refreshing. You’re not just coming in and talking about your relationship and we’re listening, in addition we’re also interacting with you to be an active participant in your relationship recovery.

We obviously have a lot of communication skills and these are the things that we teach you, so you can go home and practice these not just in our sessions. At home is where it really happens. That’s where it really matters. Once things get better at home, you know it’s time to end therapy.

We’re very goal-directed. That’s great because it allows you to track how you’re doing in your relationship counseling. You’ll know that you’re going in the right direction because we have really clear goals that we provide with your help.

You might want to check with your insurance company. We are licensed therapists, and if you have any out-of-network coverage, flex spending or health savings accounts, it can be very helpful to help pay for some of your therapy. If you verify that, we can give you an invoice with all the codes you’ll need to hopefully get yourself reimbursed.

As far as process goes, the first step is to reach out and give me a call. I’ll answer any questions you might have. If everything feels good to you, I’ll have the therapist call you fairly quickly so you can have a conversation with them. You might tell them a little bit about why you’re coming in, and they’ll tell you all the times that they can see you, both day and night. It’s a great time for you to get to know the therapist you’ll be seeing in person. It’s the first step in getting really comfortable.

If you haven’t already noticed, I have a lot of videos and articles on our website. There’s about 50 or 60. You can go on there and really check out which issues relate to you. Watch one of the videos. I offer suggestions that are free for you to check out and start applying in your relationship. I want to help you. It’s also a great way for you to get to know us and the kinds of suggestions that we offer, the kind of help that we provide.

If you’re moved and you want that additional help from an independent third-party, reach out and give me a call. I would love to help you. Thank you so much.

So, I’ve had what I’ll call “classic” issues with therapy. Until about 18 months ago, I thought that I could just deal with whatever I needed to, without help. Yeah. Then, I had a couple of unsuccessful starts with a couple of other therapists; One who really sucked, and one whose style was more along

Contrary to popular belief, my hubby and I don’t have a perfect marriage, but who does, right? There were/are several issues we needed/need assistance with; one of which was/is a nagging problem for quite some time. We’ve had several sessions with him and every time our sessions ended I felt some breakthrough had occurred, no
