Couples Counseling – $185 per session
We are here to help. We help couples come in and create an environment where there’s no judgment and no blame, and in that safe place, you can have a better understanding of what’s really going on between you two. With that clarity, couples often find it easier to treat each other better. We provide a lot of tools along the way to help you with the skills that you need to do the job at home.
All of our therapists are not only licensed and have a lot of experience in couple’s counseling and training, but we have enough life experience to back that up. I only hire folks who have been around the block enough to provide that wisdom.
We have a certain style of therapy. Many people find us very interactive. We give a lot of direct feedback. Not only are we listening to you each and every session, we’re actively helping you create a new kind of relationship. That active participation is really a great thing.
We have a lot of communication skills. We teach you these tools in session. Not only that, but we encourage you to take those home where it matters most. We, with your help, create goals for your relationship. What’s great about these goals is it helps you along the way. You can track how you’re doing. Are you moving towards your goals as you’re going to each of your sessions? Most importantly, when you’ve achieved your goal, you know it’s time to end therapy.
People typically come in between six to eight sessions, on average. You may need less or you may need more. It’s completely up to you, but that’s an average amount of time to work out some communication difficulties. People usually come in on a weekly basis to make couple’s counseling and therapy most effective.
We help people in all kinds of ranges of where relationships lie. We also help people when they’re dating. Sometimes you want to be more discerning and make good choices and the partners that you choose. We can help with that.
Sometimes people come in by themselves when they’re in a relationship. It can be very important to get clear about what’s going on for you and how you can make different decisions to improve your relationship. Of course we specialize in marriage and couple’s counseling.
One thing you can do as a first step is give me a call, and I’ll answer questions for you. If you feel great about the next step, I’ll have the therapist call you immediately so you can talk to them about all the times that you can see them this week, whether it’s evening or daytime. You’ll be able to tell them a little bit about why you’re coming in. In addition, you’ll get to know them a little bit on the phone which is a great first segue in getting to meet them in person.
A lot of people have out-of-network coverage. If you do, please verify this, because we can give you an invoice with all the codes which may assist you in getting reimbursed from your insurance company. Somebody may also have flex spending or health savings accounts through work, and that’s a great way to help pay for it.
You may have noticed I have a lot of videos and articles on this website. If you haven’t checked it out, please do so. This is free information. There’s probably something on there that relates to your relationship that you can use right now. It’s also a great way for you to get to know who we are and what kind of solutions we provide. Also Serving Ross, Corte Madera, Greenbrae, Larkspur, Fairfax and surrounding areas. If I can do anything for you, please give me a call. Thank you.[/toggle][toggle title=”” open=”yes”][/toggle][/accordian][/one_half][/fullwidth][fullwidth backgroundcolor=”no” backgroundimage=”” backgroundrepeat=”no-repeat” backgroundposition=”left top” backgroundattachment=”scroll” bordersize=”0px” bordercolor=”” borderstyle=”solid” paddingtop=”45px” paddingbottom=”45px” paddingleft=”0px” paddingright=”0px” menu_anchor=”” class=”” id=””][one_half last=”no” class=”” id=””][title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Counseling Specialties[/title][checklist icon=”fa-check” iconcolor=”” circle=”” circlecolor=”” size=”small” class=”Speciallist” id=””][li_item icon=””]Interpersonal Issues[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Marriage Counseling & Couples Therapy[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Relationship and Intimacy Issues[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Premarital Counseling[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Sexual and Emotional Disconnect[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Infidelity[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Parenting[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Fighting and Defensiveness[/li_item][li_item icon=””]LGBTQ Adults[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Life & Career Transition[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Life & Career Transition[/li_item][/checklist][/one_half][one_half last=”yes” class=”” id=””][title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]San Rafael, Mill Valley, Larkspur, Ross, Greenbrae & Corte Madera Therapist Locations[/title][map address=”239 Miller Ave #5, Mill Valley, CA 94941|1703 5th Avenue, Ste 303 San Rafael, CA 94901
