We have a very effective coaching style to couples counseling that is hands-on and interactive. If you are looking for a down-to-earth Lexington therapist who integrates interactive exchange, direct feedback, and goal-focused therapy, you’ve come to the right place.

Hello. My name is Sevin Philips. I’m a licensed therapist, and I’m the founder of our center in Lexington. I want to help you make a good decision if we are the right therapist for you, and perhaps, if therapy is the right thing to help you in your life right now. I’m also going to give you some basic information about how to help pay for therapy that I think everyone should know.

First of all, everyone in their lives runs into challenges. We don’t always have the answers, we don’t know how to move forward, and it’s a very natural and healthy thing to be able to reach out and ask for help, although I think it’s difficult for many of us. Reaching out to a licensed professional can be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made. We’re very unique in the sense that it’s our job to help people move forward in their lives and to help them find ways, maybe that they haven’t even thought of, to move around life obstacles. And we do that in several ways.

First of all, when you come in, we’re probably going to ask you some questions. We’re going to know your feelings, your thoughts, your opinions on your own life issue and we’re going to have a very interactive conversation, which by the way I think is a very relaxed way to do therapy, and a lot of people find that very natural and comfortable.

As we get to know you and we build trust, we start creating a roadmap to move forward in your life. We pull in all the tools and the skills that we know, and with your help, create a way to move forward in your life that works for you. We’ll develop that over time during our sessions, and we’ll support you as you take that work out into your life. Much like a coach, we are solution-focused therapists. So we want to understand what’s going on in your life, we want to take a very deep approach in understanding you. But ultimately, we want to help you move forward. That’s important for you to know about us.

We also would like for you to check out some of the videos and articles on our website. It’s a great way for you to get to know who we are, the kinds of advice that we may give. But probably the best thing you can do is to pick up the phone and give us a call. You can talk to one of our lovely receptionists, they can answer basic questions.

And if everything feels right, you can talk to the therapist, maybe even in this moment when you call. And what’s good about that is you can get to know their personality on the phone, you can tell them a little bit about why you want to come in, they’re probably going to ask you some questions, and maybe even give you some information about their schedule so that you can come in as soon as possible. And after that phone call, if you feel comfortable with that therapist, you can make an appointment and go in to see them to see if they can help you.

Sometimes people want help paying for therapy. If you have insurance, you can call your insurance company and ask them if they have what is called out-of-network coverage. And if they do, we can give you an invoice that may help you get some money back. Also, you might have something called flex spending, health savings accounts, sometimes people use those monies to help pay for therapy.

I hope this was helpful. And if you’re in a place in your life that you would like some help and you want to explore if we’re the right fit, please reach out, pick up the phone. I would love to help you. Thank you so much.

Contrary to popular belief, my hubby and I don’t have a perfect marriage, but who does, right? There were/are several issues we needed/need assistance with; one of which was/is a nagging problem for quite some time. We’ve had several sessions with him and every time our sessions ended I felt some breakthrough had occurred, no
