Individuals often struggle with feelings of anxiety, depression or find themselves in a perpetual cycle of re-experiencing painful life situations. Wanting to understand our experience and learn healthy life strategies is a pursuit worthy of exploration in therapy. With a professional outside point of view, clients often discover the inner resources and develop strategies that can make the difference in their lives.
We have a very effective coaching style to couples counseling that is hands-on and interactive. Through this solution-focused format we can help couples reduce harmful behavior and begin to treat each other with respect and love. With the help of a therapist, couples can begin to stop harming each other, develop a better understanding of their issues and develop the skills and tools necessary to find happiness.

So, first of all, all human beings from time to time in their life need help. It’s completely natural and normal for you to need that. And reaching out to a licensed professional can be a really great solution. We help a lot of people over the years, and so we have a lot of skills, and solutions, and understanding around human beings and how to help people move forward. Much like a coach, we’re active participants, helping you figure out what’s really going on in your life, and then working out those steps to move forward in your own pace.
Now, you might come into your first session and perhaps share a little bit about your thoughts, your ideas, and your feelings about what’s going on in your life. We’re very interactive so we’re probably going to ask you a lot of questions, and those questions are a really great way for us to get to know you, which is obviously important because we want to help you with your issues. But it’s also really great for you to get to know yourself. I find sometimes when clients come in and we ask those questions, a lot of things are illuminated. Epiphanies happen during sessions that you didn’t have otherwise, and you could have more understanding, perhaps more compassion for yourself.
Now, we are solution-focused therapists, so what that means is that we’re not only just listening but we’re actually trying to help you create a roadmap to move forward in your life. So however many sessions it takes, we’ll probably eventually start asking you to take some of the skills and tools that we’ve talked about in our session and move them out into your world and use them, and see how they work. We are also not only licensed therapists, but we have enough life experience to back up our skillset, which is important for you to know.
I recommend a first step is to probably watch some of the videos on our website. It can be very helpful just looking at some of the advice that we can give, getting to know our style through our articles and videos. And also, you can reach out and call the phone number on our website today and you can talk to the therapist that you would be seeing. You can get to know them on the phone, perhaps tell them a little bit about what’s going on in your life and see if you get a good feeling about them. And if you do, of course, you can make an appointment as soon as possible.
Now, some people want to pay for therapy and I might recommend that if you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance, you can call them and verify if you have out-of-network coverage. We may be able to give you an invoice that can get you some money back. In addition, you might have some things like health benefits through work, flex spending accounts, things like that, and sometimes people use those accounts and we might be able to help you with that. We specialize in a solution-focused approach to individual counseling, couples therapy, couples counseling and marriage counseling.
I hope this is helpful information and I recommend you reaching out, giving us a call, and seeing if we are the right therapist for you. Thank you so much.[/toggle][/accordian][/one_half][/fullwidth][fullwidth backgroundcolor=”no” backgroundimage=”” backgroundrepeat=”no-repeat” backgroundposition=”left top” backgroundattachment=”scroll” bordersize=”0px” bordercolor=”” borderstyle=”solid” paddingtop=”45px” paddingbottom=”45px” paddingleft=”0px” paddingright=”0px” menu_anchor=”” class=”” id=””][one_half last=”no” class=”” id=””][title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Counseling Specialties[/title][checklist icon=”fa-check” iconcolor=”” circle=”” circlecolor=”” size=”small” class=”Speciallist” id=””][li_item icon=””]Interpersonal Issues[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Marriage Counseling & Couples Therapy[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Relationship and Intimacy Issues[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Premarital Counseling[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Sexual and Emotional Disconnect[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Infidelity[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Parenting[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Fighting and Defensiveness[/li_item][li_item icon=””]LGBTQ Adults[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Life & Career Transition[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Life & Career Transition[/li_item][/checklist][/one_half][one_half last=”yes” class=”” id=””][title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Augusta Therapist Locations[/title][map address=”Augusta, GA 30904″ type=”roadmap” map_style=”default” overlay_color=”” infobox=”default” infobox_background_color=”” infobox_text_color=”” infobox_content=”” icon=”” width=”100%” height=”300px” zoom=”10″ scrollwheel=”yes” scale=”yes” zoom_pancontrol=”yes” popup=”yes” class=”” id=””][/map]
