We offer therapy services in person or through online counseling for your convenience. Whether through individual therapy, marriage counseling or couples therapy, our professional therapist can help you figure out how to move forward and make healthier life choices.
Individuals often struggle with feelings of anxiety, depression or find themselves in a perpetual cycle of re-experiencing painful life situations. Wanting to understand our experience and learn healthy life strategies is a pursuit worthy of exploration in therapy. With a professional outside point of view, clients often discover the inner resources and develop strategies that can make the difference in their lives.
We have a very effective coaching style to couples counseling that is hands-on and interactive. Through this solution-focused format we can help couples reduce harmful behavior and begin to treat each other with respect and love. With the help of a therapist, couples can begin to stop harming each other, develop a better understanding of their issues and develop the skills and tools necessary to find happiness.
If you are looking for a down-to-earth Allentown therapist who integrates interactive exchange, direct feedback, and goal-focused therapy, you’ve come to the right place.[/toggle][toggle title=”Allentown Therapist Bios ” open=”no”][/toggle][toggle title=”Fees – Insurance – Office Photos” open=”no”]
Now, we specialize in relationship issues and we work with couples and individuals. When couples come in, we’re going to help you create a safe environment without judgment or blame where you can get to the heart of the matter. I often find with that deeper level of understanding, people are able to treat each other better, be more respectful. What we’re really good at is teaching the right communication skills and tools necessary for having a healthy relationship. We’re going to help you with those skills during session, and we’re probably going to ask you to work on them at home where it matters most because ultimately, you don’t want to be in therapy; you want to be happy and you want to treat each other better.
Now, everybody that works for me is not only licensed, but we also are old enough and have enough life experience to back up our skillset. We’re very interactive and direct, and down-to-earth. We’re very solution-focused. Much like a relationship coach, we’re going to help you develop relationship goals for yourself. It’s really good to have those when you’re going to therapy because it’s going to guide you along the way. Are you getting your money’s worth? Are you going in the right direction? We can make adjustments along the way. Also, it’s going to let all of us know when it’s time to end therapy because you’ve achieved your goal, and that’s ultimately what we want as well.
Now, we specialize in couples counseling and marriage therapy, but we also help people individually who come in by themselves who are in a committed relationship. I’m surprised, a lot can get done that way. You might get clear about some things, you might learn some really healthy strategies in communications to do with your partner, you might learn how to take care of yourself better. Also, we help people who are dating trying to find that right life partner and making really good, healthy decisions. We do premarital counseling. People sometimes want to set themselves up for success, and we’ll take your communication style and develop some strategies for you that will hopefully going to help you have a healthy relationship.
Now, we don’t accept insurance, but we are licensed therapists. And if you have any out-of-network coverage—you can call your insurance and find out—we could give you an invoice that might get you some reimbursement. We also can help people with an invoice if they have something called flex spending or health savings accounts. Sometimes people use those monies to help pay for therapy.
And if you haven’t noticed, we have a lot of videos on this website with all kinds of relationship issues and all kinds of good advice. It’s free for the taking. I really encourage you to check it out, you’re probably going to find something that you can relate to. It’s also a great way to get to know who we are, the kinds of therapists we are in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, PA area, and the kinds of advice that we give that’ll help you make the right decision.
